Harrington Heritage Day – Celebrate the city’s history, community and its people with a car show, food vendors, tractor museum, and Kids’ Zone.
St Patrick's Day Parade – This annual parade takes place in downtown Dover and is sponsored by the Downtown Dover Partnership.
Jazz & Blues Festival – The First State BluesFest takes place at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino in March. The entire weekend is devoted to fantastic live music performed by popular and emerging performers.
Dover Days – May 2, 2014 – May 4, 2014 Celebrate Dover, DE with us! The state capital makes a fuss over its birthday with an old fashioned parade, maypole dancing, walking and house tours, live entertainment, arts and craft booths, and, of course, delicious food.
NASCAR racing takes place at Dover International Speedway on May 30- June 2, 2014 and
African-American Festival – Held yearly on the fourth Saturday in June, this traditional event takes place at Legislative Mall in downtown Dover, DE. Music, dance, vendors, and food celebrate ethnic roots and diversity in Dover, Delaware.
Summer Concerts in the Park – A series of free concerts featuring classic, bluegrass, jazz, rock, reggae, and more take place at Delaware state parks throughout the summer. Park entry fees are required, but you can purchase an Annual Pass to get you in to the parks all year long.
Firefly Music Festival- June 20- June 22, 2014 at the Woodlands in Dover, DE. Discover the East Coast’s Premier Music Experience! This year's headliners feature Tom Petty Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
Dover 4th of July Celebration – Downtown Dover, DE celebrates the birth of our nation with historic exhibits and tours. Watch the American Legion parade and enjoy live music on Legislative Mall. Enjoy free children’s activities and food and craft vendors, then watch the fireworks set off to music.
The Delaware State Fair is held on July 17- July 26, 2014. All the fun is here, from midway games and rides, to headline entertainers and fabulous fair food.
Don’t forget the animals, produce, and handmade crafts competitions and exhibits. During the fair, take a train ride from Wilmington to the fairgrounds and beyond.
Wyoming Peach Festival – August 3, 2013, the festival begins with a parade through town, then downtown transforms as it fills with food and craft vendors. Enjoy live entertainment at the railroad freight platform throughout the day.
Amish Country Bike Tour – Saturday, September 7th , enjoy the beautiful Amish countryside on your route of 15, 25, 50, 62 or 100 mile tours. NASCAR races take place in June 2, 2013 and September 29, 2013.
Delmarva Folk Festival – Oct. 4 & 5, 2013 will be two days of music, camping, and fun activities. Bring the family and enjoy food and craft vendors, activities for the kids, and fabulous folk music in a relaxed, family atmosphere.
Delaware Wine and Beer Festival October 20, 2013 Delaware Agricultural Museum 12 pm - 5 pm. Featuring Vineyards, Breweries and Distilleries such as Dogfish Head Craft Brewery and Nassau Vineyards.
Punkin Chunkin - November 5 & 6, 2013 Visit the Annual World Championship Punkin Chunkin in Bridgeville, Delaware!
New Year’s Eve, December 31st – 3pm to midnight – First Night Dover rings in the new year with an alcohol-free celebration promoting the arts. Performances for children begin in the afternoon and entertainment continues into the evening for all ages.
This nine-hour festival features performances at venues indoors and in the street and culminates in a musical midnight fireworks display on Legislative Mall in the heart of Dover, Delaware.
